Celtel Tanzania Go Live
with iPOS
Dar Es Salaam
Celtel the main provider of mobile
phones and airtime across Africa has gone live with their first
implementation of iPOS for SunSystems in Tanzania. Ted Sauti-Phiri
(Finance Director) is delighted with the streamlined authorisation of
orders and the ability to track costs on multi million dollar capital
projects which is essential for Celtel.
Geoffrey Faulkner (Marketing Director)
said “I’ve used products like SAP before but iPOS is much easier, the
requisitions are tailored to a users needs and I think that’s very
important.”
Zaheer Sacranie (Worldwide Project
Manager) said “We selected iPOS because it was integrated tightly with
SunSystems and this was critical to the success of this project. We
selected Four Business Solutions because they had extensive experience
of iPOS but demonstrated an excellent understanding of our business from
the start.”
The project will continue across 14
sites in Africa and Europe with completion planned early in 2005. The
project cost is in excess of $1m but the return on investment is
anticipated in months.
